Crisp and firm, this focused red offers dried cherry, tobacco, orange peel and mountain herb flavors in a supple texture supported by tight tannins. Needs food to soften. Drink now through 2016. 150 cases imported.-TM (two-thirds carinena, plus roughly equal parts cabernet sauvignon and merlot for the balance; all new French oak): Bright purple. Powerful, oak-spiced aromas of cherry liqueur and boysenberry, with woodsmoke, vanilla and mocha accents building in the glass. Lush and seamless on the palate, offering expansive dark fruit flavors and complicating vanilla and spicecake nuances.
