More About the Wine

Guerrieri Rizzardi can trace its history back to 17th century–most likely earlier–but the first formal labeling of the estate was in 1914. The family was one of the first in the region to focus primarily on the native grapes (Corvina, Corvinone, Garganega), and were way in front of the trend you see today. In fact, you could say they were influential in creating it!

Today the estate deftly balances old school traditional viticulture with modern winemaking. Their yields are incredibly tiny, everything is handpicked and the work in the cellar is done at a minimal level of intervention. The end result are vivid wines that are deftly made and boast honest, large-hearted generosity.
