Torbreck & Escarpment Winemaker Seminar
September 15, 2022 @ 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Join Senior Winemaker of Escarpment, Tim Bourne and Global Sales, Export and Marketing Director of Torbreck Vintners, Andrew Tierney as they guide us on a whirlwind adventure Down Under featuring wines from Torbreck Vintners Barossa Valley and Escarpment’s Martinborough.
Torbreck is quickly becoming one of the wine world’s preeminent estates creating exceptional rhone style reds which reflect the very best vineyards in Barossa Valley.
Established in 1994 and named after a forest near Inverness, Scotland, you will find a nod to the Celts throughout Torbreck’s entire range of wines.
Torbreck has been crafting wines from Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvédre (many vines from original plantings in the 1840s) which continue to thrive and exhibit unique concentration and flavor.
Enjoy a tasting of 6 wines which reflect the diversity of Barossa valley including rare opportunities to taste RunRig, a Syrah, and Viognier which often draws comparisons to the tautly structured wines from Northern Rhône’s Côte Rôtie and the Laird, a Syrah from the five-acre vineyard planted in 1958 known as one of the world’s great single vineyard Shiraz wines.
In addition to Torbreck, experience the wines of Escarpment which was recently acquired by Torebeck in 2019. Escarpment creates classic expressions of New Zealand Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay sculpted by winemaker, Tim Bourne from fruit entirely originating from Martinborough vineyards on the fabled alluvial gravels.
Based in Te Muna Road, Martinborough, ‘Te Muna’ in Māori, means ‘secret’ or ‘special place’ and to the people at Escarpment that is exactly how they feel about the land.

2019 Escarpment Chardonnay
2017 Escarpment Pinot Noir
