Wine Dinner: GAJA’s Iconic Italian Estates
June 7 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

You’re invited to taste through the world-class wines from Italy’s iconic GAJA Properties. GAJA is widely considered to be one of the greatest estates in the world, producing coveted and collectible labels.
Gian Domenico Intermaggio, GAJA Properties Brand Manager, will lead you through an epicurean evening at Boston Chops DTX focusing on GAJA’s famed properties from Sicily, Tuscany and Piedmont.
First up IDDA, a joint venture between Angelo Gaja and Alberto Graci on Mount Etna that started in 2017. “IDDA” means “she” in Sicilian dialect, which is the term local residents use to refer to the Etna volcano.
Next we go to Tuscany, and focus on two distinctive terroirs:
Ca’Marcanda, GAJA’s estate in Bolgheri (Alta Maremma) was propelled by Angelo Gaja’s ambition to challenge himself with Bordeaux varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
Next, Pieve Santa Restituta, GAJA’s estate in Montalcino, which was purchased in 1994, and was the family’s first expansion outside the Barbaresco and Barolo areas since its establishment in 1859.
Last, we explore Sito Moresco which is part of GAJA’s original estate in Piedmont. The name derives from Moresco, the previous owner of the parcel in Pajorè vineyard which was purchased in 1979. Today, the GAJA Winery owns 240 acres of vineyards in the Barbaresco DOCG (Barbaresco and Treiso) and the Barolo DOCG (Serralunga d’Alba and La Morra).
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to experience the estates of the GAJA Family.
