One of the oldest and most important growers in Barolo, Oddero is a certified Piemonte icon. Their thirty-five hectares of historical holdings reads like a Greatest Hits collection: Bussia in Monforte d’Alba, Brunate in La Morra, the legendary Vigna Rionda in Serralunga, Villero in Castiglione Falletto, and Gallina in Neive.

We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of their very special 2015 pre-arrival from this  estate. 2015– a hugely important year for Piedmont–produced exceptional Barolo. Even more so, critic and Piedmont specialist Antonio Galloni has sung rapturous praise on this new 2015 release of the Oddero estate:

“Cristina Oddero has been through more than her fair share of ups and downs, but she is now making the most consistently outstanding wines I have tasted here since I first visited the estate nearly twenty years ago. The trajectory in recent years has been nothing short of remarkable. It's great to see Oddero emerge from a lengthy period in which family tension made it impossible for the wines to achieve their potential. Readers who enjoy fine, classically built wines will want to check out Oddero. Bravo!”

Plus, as an extra bonus, we have a unique library releases from other exceptional vintages including hall of fame worthy 2013, 2009 and 2006 – even some from the legendary Vigna Rionda vineyard. For Barolo collectors this is a huge moment to upgrade your cellar. All these wines are made in minute quantities so don’t miss this spectacular chance to grab these collectible gems!

More About the Wine:

2015 Oddero Barolo Brunate

“The 2015 Barolo Brunate is dark and powerful in the glass. Black cherry, plum, mocha, leather and licorice give the Brunate much of its density and overall richness. This dense, packed Barolo needs at least a few years to unwind, but it is hugely promising. There is just so much going on here. Brunate is Oddero's smallest parcel, and, as a result, the wine shows a bit more oak influence than most of the other Barolos. Amazingly, the Brunate was used for the straight Barolo until 2015!” 94 Points, Antonio Galloni

2015 Oddero Barolo Rocche di Castiglione

“The 2015 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is bright, perfumed and super-expressive, with that striking combination of aromatic intensity and structure that is such a signature of this site, especially here. Rose petal, chalk, mint and red berry fruit add to an impression of total finesse and grace. Bright, saline notes pulse through the wonderfully expressive finish in another Barolo that has so much to say.” 95 Points, Antonio Galloni

2015 Oddero Barolo Villero

“The 2015 Barolo Villero is another striking wine in this range. Here it is the wine's texture and resonance that stand out most. Spice, lavender and menthol notes appear with time in the glass, but it is really the layers of depth and overall complexity that make the Villero one of the most complete wines in the range.” 94+ Points, Antonio Galloni
