2003 was a particularly fine harvest of chalice barley for william rose at culblair farm. supreme quality barley combined with a slow trickle-distillation to do it justice, and new oak has resulted in the “creamiest” spirit we’ve ever seen. a limited edition release of 15,000 numbered bottles. our very first organic release and something of a milestone.

Malted barley emerges. Crisp and sweet, almost like toasted rye bread, buttery popcorn and the fresh oak bourbon flavours merge into the mix strong and mellow adding structure and weight to the overall experience.

Straw hue, with a very subtle and fresh nose. Palate shows hints of mineral, wet grain, grass and white fruits with a hint of lemon zest. A light, almost shy whisky.
