Ample but lithe brut, with very good finishing punch and repeating smoke and pear qualities. A toasty version, framed by firm, citrusy acidity, this features a lively bead and flavors of crushed raspberry, grilled nut, candied grapefruit zest and toasted brioche. Henriot is a medium-sized, family-run estate located in Reims. Based on the wines I tasted it looks like quality is on the rise.There is great intensity to this finely crafted Champagne. It’s rich and toasty, with flavors of ripe gooseberries and, in this example, some good bottle age.
