First bottled in 1892, but first produced some time before, Mandarine Napoléon (38% abv/ 76 proof) was said to be a personal favourite of the Corsican-born Emperor, Napoléon Bonaparte. *It is the first liqueur composed of mandarins and cognac, made with only natural ingredients and mandarins sourced from the best orchards in Sicily and Corsica. *Today, the precise recipe remains a closely guarded secret, but Mandarine Napoléon continues to be savoured the world over, just as it was over 200 years ago by Napoléon himself.

Especially recommended for sweetening cocktails made with dark spirits, this liqueur is made with Cognac, Mandarin oranges and spices. Look for a vibrant orange color, citrus and tropical fruit aromas and a sweet, mouthfilling flavor that mixes bold orange with caramel. Exotic aromas of coriander, cumin, orange zest and carrot on the nose with subtle notes of apricot. Although robust on the palate there are more delicate flavors of orange and almond included. Exquisitely balanced. An unyielding and nutty finish follows.
