Produced like a fine Burgundy, with notes of black cherry, spice, and the Monterey terroir on the nose and palate.

Coming from the Double L, Tondre, KW Ranch, Rosella’s, Fog Stone and Leavens vineyards, all of which are in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the 2012 Pinot Noir Twelve Clones is a medium-bodied, attractive, and supple 2012 that gives up pretty black cherry, spring flowers, and earthy, leathery notes with air. It’s a well-made, delicious effort to drink over the coming 3-4 years.
