The Saracco winery is located in the village of Castiglione Tinella, between Alba and Santo Stefano Belbo. For four generations the Saracco family has produced a wine that is considered the reference point for Moscato d’Asti. Now managed by Paolo Saracco, careful vineyard management and strict control over the entire winemaking process has added to the family’s reputation and led to Paolo’s nickname, “The Maestro of Moscato.” Situated throughout the Castiglione Tinella appellation, the terroir and microclimate of the family’s vineyards are particularly well-suited for the Moscato grape – limestone mixed with sandy veins and elevation levels that provide just the right temperature and humidity levels.
