Description

This estate-bottled, single-vineyard Riesling is produced from grapes grown in the famed Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyard in Germany’s Mosel region. The steep, south to southwest faced slopes are one of the top vineyards of the Mosel region. Devon slate and the light soil create a special and unique flavor in the wines with high minerals and lean style. In 1842 Jodocus Prüm, built sundials (sonnenuhr) in the best parts of the Wehlen and Zeltingen vineyards in order to display the time to the vintners. These sundials have since become a icon for the winery and vineyard.

Color - Golden color Bouquet - Ripe fruit, peaches and apricot, solid, clean and good balance with the notes characteristic of a perfect Riesling. Taste - Great structure with a little lime and citrus. Prominent mineral notes from the gray slate and outstanding vineyard site.
