Smith Woodhouse’s Ten Year Tawny is
blended from wines of the very highest quality,
matured solely in wood and bottled for
immediate consumption. The maturation in
oak casks lends this aged tawny a delicate
“nutty” character, which marries beautifully
with the delicious raisiny flavours. Aged Tawny
is perhaps the most versatile Port style, and
Smith Woodhouse’s Ten Year Old is
appreciated for its delicacy, complexity and
harmonious balance.
The grapes used in the production of Smith
Woodhouse 10 years old were a blend of
traditional Portuguese varieties from the Douro
Valley, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga
Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz and Tinto
Cao.
