In the Portuguese tradition, whole clusters are trodden before receiving 24 hours of skin contact. Fermentation is with native yeast, without any MLF. Full of delicious wild cherry, Mandarin orange, Indian spice, pink rose, and violet aromas.

Il Rose is a blend of equal parts Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile. The six hectare vineyard sits at about 300 meters above sea level and enjoys southern exposure. The wine has a salmon color, petal like with orange reflections. On the nose, aromas of sliced peaches, flowers, stones and chalk very complex with full body and round yet agile and dynamic intensity, salty, linear, energetic backbone of acidity, great structure and lovely finish.
Matilde Poggi's organically farmed rose-hued take on a classic Veneto wine is all you could want in a summer bottle. In the Bardolino zone of Veneto, producers work with Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes – the same varieties used in Amarone – to craft their rosato, which is known as Chiaretto. These are in a lighter style, a la Provence rosé from France, and have currant and delicate strawberry flavors, with tangy citrus, a savory elements.
