Muga Rosado is a rosé wine by Bodegas Muga in DO La Rioja. Located in the town of Haro, one of the towns with the highest concentration of wineries in the world, Bodegas Muga is one of the historic cellars of La Rioja.
This Rosado is made from a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo and Viura, typical varieties of La Rioja, from vineyards planted up to 480 metres above sea level on clay-limestone soils. Once in the winery, the grapes are selected, destemmed and macerated for 12 hours before fermentation takes place in wooden tanks of about 2000 litres for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature of 18 degrees. Once the fermentation has occurred, Muga Rosado rests for two months with its lees. Very complex and intense nose with aromas of stone fruit (peaches, apricots), citrus (mandarin peel), strawberries and notes of dried hazelnuts. Silky-smooth mouth-feel with good acidity. Perfect to accompany white meat, pasta, salads, and cheeses.
This Rosé has lovely balance between the fresh fruit, fine tannins, good minerality and graceful acidity. It is the visual and taste portrait of the Hampton's high summer. Serve chilled, solo or as a complement to almost any food.
