The Rosé That Collectors Actually Chase
If you’ve been paying attention to the Loire in the last decade, then the name Guiberteau will already ring a few bells. Romain Guiberteau has taken his family's estate in Saumur from humble beginnings to a cult-level following, thanks in no small part to his meticulous organic farming and his time learning under Nady Foucault of Clos Rougeard. Guiberteau’s wines are now allocated across the world, with collectors and sommeliers vying for even small quantities.
And that brings us to this rosé.
100% Cabernet Franc from organically farmed vineyards—including parcels on the iconic Brézé slope—this wine has nothing in common with those featherweight Provençal pinks. Instead, it delivers lifted red fruit, savory herbaceous notes, and that unmistakable Saumur structure, all layered over bright, mineral-driven acidity. The sandy soils lend finesse; the limestone gives a salty edge. It’s serious, focused, and totally refreshing.
This is the kind of wine you buy by the case—not because it’s casual or forgettable, but because it’s the kind of rosé that reminds you just how good rosé can be. Every year, demand for Guiberteau rises, and the rosé always disappears before summer is in full swing. This year, we were lucky enough to get a solid allocation—but once it’s gone, it’s gone until 2026.
There’s never enough Guiberteau to go around. Don’t miss your chance to grab a few bottles (or more) while you still can.
