The Return of a Summer Classic
The 2024 Triennes Rosé has landed, and with it, one of the most dependable pleasures of summer returns. Founded in the 1980s by two icons of Burgundy—Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti—Triennes is built on the belief that even the most casual wines deserve thoughtful farming, precise winemaking, and a true sense of place. Year after year, their rosé quietly delivers all of that—and more.
The blend this vintage remains classic: mostly Cinsault, with Syrah, Grenache, and a touch of Merlot rounding things out. The grapes are harvested at night to preserve natural freshness, given just a brief window of skin contact, and fermented cool in stainless steel until dry. The result is a beautifully pale rosé with notes of strawberries, white flowers, and a touch of vanilla on the nose. It’s light on its feet, but never lean; crisp and lifted, yet generous in its flavor.
The 2024 release continues Triennes’ reputation for balance and elegance, shaped by the vineyard-first mentality brought south from Burgundy. The vines are farmed organically, the cellar work is restrained and honest, and the goal is always the same: freshness, purity, and drinkability.
This is the wine that quietly dominates my summer table. At just 13% alcohol, it offers the refreshment and versatility that defines great rosé. It’s what rosé should be—unforced, expressive, and easy to love. From its aromatic charm to its subtle mineral finish, the 2024 Triennes brings a kind of satisfaction that never grows old.
It remains one of the greatest values of the season, built to please without compromise. This is my summer rosé—and yours—again.
