Just 11 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and 525 feet above sea level, Garzón’s vineyards stretch across 1,300 small hillside blocks, each with a unique microclimate. Surrounded by native forests and palm trees, the well-draining granitic soils and cooling ocean breezes allow grapes to ripen slowly, developing vibrant flavors and expressive complexity. With more than 20 grape varieties planted, Garzón showcases the diversity and richness of Uruguay’s Atlantic coast.
Powered by solar and wind energy, it is the first LEED-certified winery outside North America, recognized for sustainable practices across its vineyards, winery, and hospitality areas.
