South Africa MasterClass with Broadbent Selections
Kick off 2026 with an immersive Masterclass celebrating the depth, diversity, and dynamism of South African wine, led by Katherine (Kat) Camera, South African Brand Manager for Broadbent Selections, A Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Knight of the Confravia do Vinho do Porto, Kat brings four decades of industry experience—and a storyteller’s passion—to this focused exploration of one of the world’s most exciting wine regions.
Born and raised in the Chicago area and steeped in the restaurant business from an early age, Kat’s wine journey began at 22 with a life-changing encounter with Riesling. Fascinated by terroir, appellations, and producer expression, she built a career spanning sales, on-premise leadership, winery representation, and importing. She has been with Broadbent Selections for 15 years, championing some of South Africa’s most revered producers.
This Masterclass will focus on the iconic and compelling wines of Walker Bay's Alheit Vineyards & Malmesbury's Sadie Family Wines with a deep dive into old-vine Chenin Blanc, nuanced white blends, and expressive reds that define modern South Africa.
