Join us at Gordon’s Watertown for a free winemaker tasting featuring the acclaimed wines of SHABO Winery, a historic Ukrainian estate rooted in over 200 years of winemaking tradition.

Founded in 1822 by Swiss winemakers who journeyed over 2,500 kilometers to establish the Shabo wine village along the banks of the Dniester Estuary, SHABO has grown from Ukraine’s oldest winery into one of its most technologically advanced producers.

Internationally recognized and trailblazing for Ukrainian terroir, SHABO is the first Ukrainian winery to earn Gold and Platinum medals at the Decanter Wine Awards and has received over 600 accolades from leading global competitions including the International Wine Challenge, Mundus Vini, and Berliner Wein Trophy. Its wines have also achieved the distinction of being the first Ukrainian still wines featured in Michelin-starred restaurants, bringing global attention to a rising wine region.

At the helm of the modern SHABO era is Giorgi Iukuridze, co-founder and CEO, whose background spans international politics, enology training in Bordeaux and Burgundy, and leadership roles across Europe and the Caucasus wine industry. Under his guidance, SHABO continues to champion Ukrainian wine on the global stage with a clear mission: to ensure that Ukrainians—and wine lovers everywhere—can be proud of Ukraine’s winemaking heritage.

Discover this unique portfolio and experience the story, innovation, and resilience behind one of Eastern Europe’s most important wineries—poured for you at this special in-store tasting.
