Fine Wine Operations Manager

Teresa Murray

With 25 years in custom health care publishing as a Senior Director of Sales Operations, Teresa built a career rooted in leadership, organization, and client service excellence. After being laid off in 2008, she followed her passion for wine—studying at the Elizabeth Bishop Wine School at Boston University and spending five years at Winestone Chestnut Hill honing her expertise and customer relationships.

She joined Gordon's in March 2016 and is truly the heart and soul of operations and customer service, known for her dedication, warmth, and commitment to excellence. Her favorite wines reflect her adventurous and refined palate: Italian selections, Loire Valley whites, and sparkling wines.

Director of Private Client Services

Damian Brown

I earned my Master’s in Beverage Arts Education from Johnson & Wales University, where I also spent a short time teaching before COVID sent me back home to New York. That detour turned into an opportunity to dive headfirst into wine and spirits retail, starting at a large-format wine warehouse and eventually landing at Zachys as a Wine & Spirits Consultant and Account Manager. Over 2.5 years there, I built lasting client relationships, shared plenty of great bottles, and happily talked wine for a living.

That journey eventually brought me to Massachusetts when I was recruited by The Urban Grape as Director of Private Client Services. Following the closing, I became the Sales Director at Bauer Wine & Spirits, where I continued to build partnerships and share my passion for exceptional beverages.

I’m passionate about exceptional drinks in all forms! From wine and spirits to thoughtfully sourced water - and I’m always curious about what else is out there to discover. When I’m not slinging wine, you’ll usually find me watching or playing basketball, hunting down new restaurants, spending time with my wife and daughter, and diving into one of my many ever-growing interests.

Fine Wine Inventory Specialist

Mika Nash

I worked my way through mortuary school through working in a wine shop in Oklahoma, where I had the opportunity to meet many American winemakers and taste a wide range of wines firsthand. That experience sparked a lasting interest in wine and the people behind it. I’ve also spent about 15 years bartending on and off, including time in niche tasting-menu–driven restaurants with highly curated wine programs, which gave me the chance to explore bottles and producers I never expected I’d get to try.

Some of my favorite regions and producers include Germany's Willi Schaefer and Von Winning, Spain's Envínate and Ameztoi, Italy's Elisabetta Foradori, Willamette Valley's St. Innocent and Kelley Fox.

It must be mentioned that since joining Gordon’s, Mika has single-handedly transformed the store’s inventory system, creating a structure that makes wines far easier for the team to locate and pull quickly and accurately. The new system has drastically improved efficiency behind the scenes helping keep the flow of service smooth for our staff and customers!

Director of Fine Wine Operations

William Rohfling

William began his fine dining journey at sixteen as a food runner and part-time dishwasher at The Mayflower Inn in Washington, CT, where a Loire Cabernet Franc sparked his lifelong passion for wine. Today, his favorites include Burgundy, Oregon, and Jerez, though he insists he loves all his wine “children” equally.

He has served as sommelier, restaurant manager, and beverage director at multiple Relais & Châteaux and Forbes-rated establishments, consulted for Coravin, Inc., and worked on wine festivals across the U.S. William holds degrees from Johnson & Wales College of Culinary Arts and Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

In Boston, he joined L’Espalier’s sommelier team and led beverage programs at Sorellina and Mooo… Beacon Hill before becoming General Manager at L’Andana and later GM and Beverage Director at 28 Atlantic at Wequassett Resort, one of only 73 Forbes Five-Star restaurants worldwide. He passed his CMS Level 1 and Certified exams on consecutive days, earned the Walter Clore Scholarship for the top Certified score, and has completed the Advanced Course as an Advanced Exam candidate.

At Gordon’s, William aims to uphold the store’s tradition of excellence while sharing his passion for personalized wine service.

Fine Wine Sales Associate

Erika Frey

Wine education is Erika's passion. In addition to being a prominent teacher in the Boston area for the past 15 years, she is also an eager student. Erika has earned over 30 certificates in wine, spirits, saké and beer from WSET, the Court of Master Sommeliers, Boston University, UC Davis, Cornell and others.

Erika is well versed in classic wine regions of France, Spain, Italy and California, and is notable for introducing students to her favorite up-and-coming regions such as the Finger Lakes in New York, Croatia, and the Republic of Georgia. Erika also has extensive experience in wine retail and marketing. While she loves all styles of wine, Erika will freely admit that her favorite wine grape variety is Riesling.
