Our Spanish Heritage Month Wednesday wine series comes to a close today, and what better way to celebrate than with a bottle, or two, of Mírame Cava Brut Rosé? Pretty in pink and full of personality, this Spanish sparkler is made from 100% Trepat, a native Catalonian red grape. Fresh strawberries, wild berries, and a hint of mint meet fine, persistent bubbles. Bright acidity keeps every sip lively and refreshing, while a delicate texture makes it just as lovely with food as it is on its own.
Like Champagne, Cava undergoes its second fermentation in the bottle, creating those beautiful bubbles and adding texture and complexity. It’s one of Spain’s great winemaking traditions and, in our opinion, one of the best values in sparkling wine.
For your next charcuterie night, this is the bottle to have chilled. Grab some chorizo, Manchego, olives (we’re partial to Gordal), and Marcona almonds, and call that dinner. It’s also a wonderful match for Spanish tapas, shrimp, or seafood paella.
