If You Love Kermit Lynch & Louis/Dressner, Don’t Miss This!

The 2022 Grand Enclos du Château Cérons Blanc has just landed, and it’s the first time in several years this château has been available in the U.S. That alone makes it worth a look, but what’s in the glass is what truly seals the deal.

Cérons sits in the Graves, just south of Bordeaux city, a historic home for dry whites that balance richness with lift better than almost anywhere else. The blend here leans on classic Bordeaux varieties, delivering a wine that is vibrant, textured, and quietly complex. Think fresh citrus, crisp orchard fruit, and white flowers, layered with a subtle touch of leesy roundness that gives the wine presence without heaviness. There’s energy, precision, and a mineral edge that keeps everything bright and food-friendly.

What makes this arrival even more exciting is who brought it in. The importer is a former VP of sales for one of our favorite distributors and now focuses on a small, carefully curated portfolio. As an idea, he worked extensively with Kermit Lynch and Louis Dressner before retiring to open a small import business. You know the style of those importers: honest wines, thoughtfully made, with a strong sense of place and absolutely no excess. The quality here is right in line with those benchmarks.

And then there’s the value. Graves Blanc from a historic estate, made in a classic yet lively style, with this level of balance and character, typically costs quite a bit more. This is the kind of bottle that overdelivers.

I’m thrilled to see Château Cérons Blanc back on our shores, and even more thrilled with how beautifully this wine drinks right now. Quantities are limited on this reintroduction, and we don’t expect it to linger.
