Louis Jadot’s Vision Takes Root in Willamette Valley
When one of Burgundy’s most historic names, Maison Louis Jadot, set its sights beyond France, it wasn’t Napa or Sonoma that drew them in; it was Oregon. In 2013, Jadot’s legendary winemaker Jacques Lardière saw in the Willamette Valley what Burgundians prize most: a landscape where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay could express themselves with elegance and complexity. That vision became Résonance, Jadot’s first venture outside of Burgundy in its 170-year history.
The 2022 releases embody both tradition and discovery:
2022 Résonance Pinot Noir – Willamette Valley
Beautifully refined, this Pinot layers ripe red fruit with spice, earth, and a long, harmonious finish. It’s crafted in the spirit of Burgundy, yet unmistakably Oregon. It is pure, vibrant, and expressive of the Valley’s unique terroir.
2022 Résonance Chardonnay – Willamette Valley
A brilliant white that balances richness with minerality. With citrus, orchard fruit, and a subtle savory note, it reflects the precision of Jadot’s touch and the energy of Oregon’s cool-climate vineyards.
Over the past 20 years, Oregon has transformed from a promising frontier into one of the world’s great wine regions. Résonance sits at the heart of that story—merging Burgundian mastery with Oregon’s potential to produce wines of world-class stature. For those who love Pinot and Chardonnay, these bottles are more than wine; they are a bridge between Old World heritage and New World promise.
With limited quantities arriving stateside, Résonance is a rare opportunity to enjoy Jadot’s vision of Oregon. Act now before these 2022 releases are gone. This is definitely a case buy situation.
95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
Coming from own-rooted vines planted in 1981 in Yamhill-Carlton, the 2022 Pinot Noir Resonance Vineyard offers wonderfully layered notes of crushed fresh cherries, pine spice, sweet herbs, and forest earth. Aged for 18 months in 30% new French oak barrels and revealing a touch more body, it’s medium-framed, with ripe tannins and a light umami undertone, although it’s lovely and pure throughout. A very well-styled wine with good structure, it’s going to be worth snapping up from Jadot’s Resonance Estate, which is led by Guillaume Large. Drink 2024-2040.

Sleek yet luxurious, this impressive white offers rich Asian pear, nectarine and lemon zest flavors that gather richness and flesh on the long finish.
