I’ll never forget the summer I met Federico Ceretto on Nantucket. It was one of those perfect June afternoons—sun glinting off the harbor, breeze just cool enough to cut the heat—and Federico Ceretto strolled by in a well-worn Blangé t-shirt. It was a statement: Blangé is the wine of summer. And as he poured a glass, crisp and gleaming in the light, I understood exactly why. I wish this story was true–all is true except that we met on Nantucket in early May during a tented wine event while the wind was howling and rain was coming into the tent sideways. Other than that, the T-shirt was epic, and so was Federico.
The 2022 Ceretto Blangé Arneis is not just a white wine—it’s the white wine that redefined Piedmont. Hailing from the Roero hills of Vezza d’Alba, the Blangé vineyard was planted in 1985 with a singular purpose: to elevate the often-overlooked Arneis grape to world-class status.
