The story behind this barrel is one that will live forever in whiskey’s great long history. Once upon a time there lived Warehouse X on the main campus at Heaven Hill sitting across from the

Visitors Center, positioned gracefully in the middle of 19 other warehouses. Sun always beaming light upon it, as if it were a message from the whiskey gods. Protected by its sister warehouses, this warehouse gave great comfort to those thirsty angels. This warehouse, god rest its soul, was always known to produce some of the best barrels to come out of Heaven Hill.

For four cold winters and four hot summers rested this Gordon’s single barrel of Larceny in Warehouse X… until it got the call. Warehouse X was to be torn down as part of a Heaven Hill project to replace all older warehouses to prevent from having another historic fire. Lucky enough, our barrel didn’t have to go far, as it was moved to Warehouse H1, the newest holy grail of rickhouses also placed directly across from the Heaven Hill Visitors Center, where it gracefully rested for another four years on the fourth floor.

To say that our single barrel of Larceny Barrel Proof does not compare to those award winning batches C923 or A123 would be blasphemy. This barrel needs to be celebrated, enjoyed amongst friends, family, and loved ones. Once this whiskey hits your lips, your eyes will light up like that beam of sunshine that shined over Warehouse X, you will look back down at your glass with a look of astonishment, and with a bewildered smirk on your face, you will all wonder how is this possibly so delicious!
