Alsace MasterClass with Famille Hugel

Join us for a special Hugel Day celebration as we raise a glass to one of Alsace’s most iconic and enduring wine families.

First introduced in the United States in 2009, Hugel Day is celebrated by wine merchants and restaurants around the country, shining a spotlight on the remarkable wines and rich traditions of Famille Hugel.

Rooted in the village of Riquewihr since 1639, the 13th generation of the Hugel family continues to champion the Alsatian identity, crafting wines that capture the character of the region’s unique terroirs with remarkable purity and precision. From mineral-driven Riesling to richly aromatic Gewurztraminer, Hugel has become synonymous with the classic expressions of Alsace.

Leading our tasting will be native Frenchman Tristan Lozach of Frederick Wildman & Sons, who will guide us through a lineup of Hugel favorites while sharing the stories, traditions and terroir behind this legendary estate.

We’ll taste our way through some of Alsace’s most celebrated varieties, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir, discovering the diversity of Hugel’s portfolio and what makes these wines such enduring classics.

Whether you’re already an Alsace devotee or just discovering the region, this is a delicious opportunity to dive into one of France’s great wine families with an expert guide.
