Casalini Pinot Grigio 750ml

Oft maligned and belittled by the wine geek police and couch connoisseurs, Pinot Grigio deserves more respect. Sure, there are many mass-produced examples of this grape that tend to have a strong resemblance to H2O, but for the most part Pg is a dry and refreshing white that serves many a handy purpose. This particular example from Casalini is hardly an artisanal creation with a romantic back story, but it is flat out delicious! Fresh and fragrant in the glass, this wine emotes ripe white pears with melon juiciness. A little herbal twang and a good snappy finish put all the pieces in place. A tall glass of Casalini is the perfect antidote for a long hard day and the balm to keep the cook whistling while they work preparing the evening meal. Cheers to that!
