Drawing from three benchmark sites, Bricco Chiesa and Capalot in La Morra, and Fiasco in Castiglione Falletto, this is a classically structured Nebbiolo that rewards patience and rewards it handsomely. Antonio Galloni of Vinous praised the wine as "vibrant, expressive and wonderfully inviting," noting its "bright acids and lifted, floral notes" that lend real energy and precision. Dried roses, tar, dark cherry, and iron are all there, unmistakably Barolo, unmistakably Oddero. Give it a long decant if opening now, or tuck it away for a few more years if Dad can wait.
