Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts are two of the most dynamic, young winemakers in California leading the charge for site specific wines with balance and integrity.
From Luschinger Vineyard in California's Lake County, and planted at over 1300ft elevation, this unusual, serious rosé is made from the great Portuguese grape Touriga Nacional. In the Portuguese tradition, whole clusters are trodden before receiving 24 hours of skin contact. Fermentation is with native yeast, without any MLF. Full of delicious wild cherry, Mandarin orange, Indian spice, pink rose, and violet aromas.
Located in the mediterranean fishing village of Cassis in Provence this rosé comes from a handful of parcels that total seven hectares of vineyards planted in clay and limestone soils, on a gentle north-northwest-facing slope. Grenache-dominated, with smaller percentages of Mourvedre and Cinsault. This rosé is fresh, slightly saline and perfect with seafood. The winery makes only a small quantity of this, making this extremely hard to find, but its deliciousness makes it highly sought after.

Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Working out of a small converted chicken coop in a friend’s backyard, Morgan focused on making personality-filled wines wrought from a small array of thoughtfully farmed vineyards.
Composed of 55% old vine Mataro and 45% old vine Grenache, Ode to Lulu is Bedrock's love letter to Bandol rosé. The Mataro is sourced from the sandy soils and own-rooted vines of Oakley along with a dash of 1920s-planted fruit from the famed Pagani Ranch. The deliciously feral and wild Mataro element is enlivened by Grenache planted in the 1880s at Gibson Ranch in Mendocino’s McDowell Valley. From a color perspective, this is the palest rendition of this wine made in a while, something that belies its richness and density.

The Gassier family has a long history in Provence, as early as 1421, the family was recognized as part of the Provencal nobility, and in 1938 the Gassier family was granted the title of baron. In constant search of the finest expression of their unique terroir, the Château Gassier team concentrates on growing and vinifying rosés from the Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire.
"Esprit Gassier” is comprised of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, and Rolle that combine the exceptional terroir of the Sainte-Victoire region with Cotes de Provence to produce a wine that expresses the family passion, expertise and creativity.
A few years ago, the Tijou family, proprietaires for several generations of the Château Soucherie in Beaufort-sur-Layon, decided to sell their property and effectively exchange the larger domaine of Soucherie for the smaller estate just down the road, Château de l'Eperonnière, which was also in the family for many generations. Mathieu and his wife, Charlotte, have renovated this spectacular property with impeccable taste. The vineyards are sited on both sides of the Loire and overlook the Layon with vineyards in the Savennières appellation and Anjou and Coteaux du Layon appellations.
This lively and dry Rosé is vinified from Cabernet Franc with a touch of Grolleau. The grapes are harvested manually and the vinification is via the direct press method. The wine is fermented and aged in cuve and then bottled in late winter/early spring.
Located in the heart of Provence, near routes traveled by Crusaders in the early Middle Ages, the Commanderie de Peyrassol was founded by the Knights of Templar who were dedicated to protecting the Crusaders en route to, and in, the Holy Land. The first recorded harvest took place in 1256 and winemaking has continued uninterrupted throughout the centuries.
This rosé is the classic representation of the pink-tinted wines of this region and is the workhorse wine of the estate. It carries a pale rose color, a lovely fruit blossom nose and finishes crisply dry with a stony touch that gives it class and elegance. The grape blend is usually Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah in varying percentages. The average age of the vines is 25 years or more. The fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures and is exceptionally long, resulting in rosés that are both lively, fresh and full-bodied.
