BEDROCK ODE TO LULU ROSE OF MOURVEDRE 2018 750 ML

Regular Price: $24.99

Special Price $19.99

Bedrock Wine Co. was started in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson. Working out of a small converted chicken coop in a friend’s backyard, Morgan focused on making personality-filled wines wrought from a small array of thoughtfully farmed vineyards.

Composed of 55% old vine Mataro and 45% old vine Grenache, Ode to Lulu is Bedrock's love letter to Bandol rosé. The Mataro is sourced from the sandy soils and own-rooted vines of Oakley along with a dash of 1920s-planted fruit from the famed Pagani Ranch. The deliciously feral and wild Mataro element is enlivened by Grenache planted in the 1880s at Gibson Ranch in Mendocino’s McDowell Valley. From a color perspective, this is the palest rendition of this wine made in a while, something that belies its richness and density.

$18.99

Mathieu and his wife, Charlotte, have renovated this spectacular property with impeccable taste. The vineyards are sited on both sides of the Loire and overlook the Layon with vineyards in the Savennières appellation and Anjou and Coteaux du Layon appellations.

This lively and dry Rosé is vinified from Cabernet Franc with a touch of Grolleau. The grapes are harvested manually and the vinification is via the direct press method. The wine is fermented and aged in cuve and then bottled in late winter/early spring.

COMMANDERIE DE PEYRASSOL ROSE 2019 750 ML

$20.99

Located in the heart of Provence, near routes traveled by Crusaders in the early Middle Ages, the Commanderie de Peyrassol was founded by the Knights of Templar who were dedicated to protecting the Crusaders en route to, and in, the Holy Land. This rosé is the classic representation of the pink-tinted wines of this region and is the workhorse wine of the estate. It carries a pale rose color, a lovely fruit blossom nose and finishes crisply dry with a stony touch that gives it class and elegance. The grape blend is usually Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah in varying percentages. The average age of the vines is 25 years or more. The fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures and is exceptionally long, resulting in rosés that are both lively, fresh and full-bodied.
