One Shot: 2016, 2015 & 2011 Dauvissat-Camus Allocations

Vincent Dauvissat and Bernard Raveneau tower over Chablis, producing wines that far out class the rest of the appellation. Their cellar doors are worn thin with the frequent knocks at vain attempts from far-travelling admirers looking for a window into their greatness. Of course, it goes without saying that any opportunities to buy any wines from either of these Domaines is usually met with an overwhelming response that is impossible to meet.
So, with that said, I am offering out our allocations of 2011 and 2015 releases from Dauvissat-Camus. Unfortunately, the allocation is limited to the 1er Cru La Forest only and while we have a decent quantity available, it surely will not be enough to meet demand. Please do read the conditions of the allocation below.
I’ll close by answering a question that I have fielded frequently and which will surely arise in response to this offer: What is the difference between Domaine Vincent Dauvissat and Domaine Dauvissat-Camus? The frequent answer is that they are identical. This is mostly true. In terms of vineyard sources, winemaking techniques and winemaker, it is true that they are identical. However, the Vincent Dauvissat wines are imported by Vineyard Brands and in order to accommodate their container schedule, the wines are fined, lightly filtered and bottled about 3-6 months earlier than the French bottling. The Dauvissat-Camus bottling is identical to the French bottling and the label is to accommodate the MA importer and avoid a conflict with Vineyard Brands’ import exclusivity.
