From three parcels home to vines with an average of 65-years-old, Harmand-Geoffroy’s cuvée draws its depth and structure from well-sited vines in the vineyards of En Songe, Combe and Champerrier, all on the northern Brochon side of the village. Vinified with a touch more new oak than the Gevrey villages (40%), this is an altogether deeper and denser expression of Gevrey, but one that is very smart. It will be wonderful in 5-10 years but can also drink well now in a decanter and with the right food.
